Larry Lacewell was an American football player, mentor, scout, and school sports manager.
He filled in as the head football trainer at Arkansas State University from 1979 to 1989, aggregating a record of 69-58-4.

Larry was a native of Fordyce Arkansas. He played halfback in Fordyce High School when he was studying there. He got a football scholarship from Arkansas A & M College and he was accepted.
He was named second-team All-AIC at running back as a junior. In 2003, he was enlisted into the University of Arkansas at Monticello Sports Hall of Fame.
On May 21, 1992, he joined the Dallas Cowboys as the Director of College Scouting, supplanting Dick Mansperger. In the Spring of 1994, he was named the Director of College and Pro Scouting, adding the obligation of organizing the exploring endeavors of all professional workforce.
He died naturally on May 18, 2022, at the age of 85 years. Lacewell has expected total assets of $3 million at the hour of his demise.
