Blake Harrison, best known for playing Neil Sutherland in the hit comedy The Inbetweeners, is joining the cast of Waitress in London’s West End.

He will be taking over the role of Ogie from June 17, following on from 30 Rock’s Jack McBrayer, who makes his final performance on Saturday June 15.

In addition to his success with The Inbetweeners, some of Blake’s recent credits include the BBC drama A Very English Scandal, Prime Suspect 1973, and Dad’s Army. Additionally, his theatre credits include STEP 9 (Of 12) and The End Of The Pier.

He is one of three new cast members who will be joining the West End production from June 17. It was previously announced that Lucie Jones will be taking over from Katharine McPhee as leading lady Jenna, whilst Pussycat Dolls star Ashley Roberts will be keeping Laura Baldwin’s Dawn shoes warm for a limited run over the summer period.

Led by a female creative team, Waitress follows waitress and pie-maker Jenna Hunterson who enters a pie competition in order to win a cash prize which would enable her to start a new life away from her abusive husband. The musical, which is currently playing at The Adelphi Theatre, features an original score by 7-time Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles.
